Local Community Initiatives We Support
We try to support as many local charities & events as possible because the city of Griffith & its surrounds have supported us over the past 35 years. Owen Toyota has a policy of only supporting local charities & events but as an exception we often do support charities or colleagues relevant to our industry. See a list below of those we have helped during the past 12 months.

NSW Champion Award
Owen Toyota was fortune enough to receive a “NSW Champion Award” from Gerry Andersen the Chief Executive Officer of Foodbank NSW. Owen Toyota received this award in recognition of our ongoing support to Foodbank NSW.
Foodbank NSW is a non-denominational, community supported not-for-profit, that collects unwanted food and re-distributes it to people in need through welfare agencies.
Foodbank NSW is a great cause to get behind, just look at the amazing things they achieve;
- Foodbank NSW delivers 5.6 million meals a year to people in need in NSW (and more than 31 million meals nationally) but there is an ever-increasing demand that needs to be met.
- Foodbank NSW supplies more than 560 charities, community groups and schools with the food it takes to feed the disadvantaged.
- Foodbank NSW saves 4 million kilos of food from being dumped every year. Almost 1 million kilos of this is fresh fruit and veg. This rescued food not only goes to feeding the needy, but also reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 6 million kgs a year.
Owen Toyota will continue to support this great cause as its one we feel passionately about.
